Julia Stevenson
Head of Acquisitions
Julia Stevenson leads Langdon Park Capital's investment activities across the United States, and she has direct responsibility for the firm's workforce housing portfolio in the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan area. Stevenson is deeply involved in sourcing new investment opportunities and maintaining key relationships in the region. Stevenson sits on Langdon Park Capital's Investment Committee, and she is based in the firm’s Washington, DC office.
Stevenson has nearly two decades of experience in commercial real estate development and finance. Prior to joining Langdon Park Capital, Stevenson worked for LISC Strategic Investments, where she was responsible for deploying capital for its $250 million flagship fund targeting investments in Black-led financial institutions, businesses and other mission-focused entities. Prior to LISC, she was Vice President at Banneker Ventures, a Black-owned real estate development firm. Her responsibilities there included underwriting multifamily development investments, managing the company's overall cost of capital and building an impact-focused investment management platform. Prior to Banneker, she was a Portfolio Manager at Eagle Bank, where she oversaw a $400 million portfolio of commercial real estate loans and underwrote construction and pre-construction loans, and commercial, single-family land development and bridge financings. She previously worked as an Associate in Development Finance and Project Management in the Housing Department in Howard County, MD. Stevenson’s career began as an Assistant Project Manager with Gotham Development in Baltimore, MD.
Stevenson serves on the Board of Directors for CREW DC and African American Real Estate Professionals DC. She is also an active member of National Multifamily Housing Council and Urban Land Institute. Stevenson received her Masters of Science in Finance from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Brown University.
